woosh
Finally back, and thanks for being my patron even during the hiatus and then reaching the $100 Goal! Gonna start blogging soon as well, and I think I’ll do these thank you drawings from now on, plus a monthly drawing of Myan “cosplaying” as other characters (likely other catgirls like Felicia). The following things were only possible with the pledges you’ve given me!
Learned Illustrator, though I gave up on it in the end since it’s just not fit for comics. Hopefully has some use if I need it!
Bought and learned Clip Studio, which is so much better for comics and art as you’ve seen with the things I’ve been making. Highly recommend this thing!
Dabbled a bit with animation. I might’ve missed using Flash when I switched to Clip Studio, though I do not miss the crashes. May even finish this if I have the time.
Enthusiasm has gone for that secret side-project of mine and as usual, I seem to underestimate the time and effort that side-projects like the old Magicat Girl needs. So all that effort isn’t wasted, I’ve finally decided to reveal said side project to you: Act Cat, which is basically playing Charades with Myan.
The idea came from a comic (that I haven’t made yet) of Myan doing impressions, plus I wanted to some animation practice. Couple that with the comment system in the old Magicat Girl (which you can gamify), Act Cat was born. Myan would’ve acted out a variety of gestures using some simple and reusable looped animations. I hoped that eventually, the amount of animations would build up and make it easier for more Rounds to be made as time goes on, with the added bonus of being useful for reaction images as well.
It’s got rules like:
Each “player” can comment by using their points. You receive points each day, if you guessed correctly, or if you upvoted someone’s comment (if someone’s answer is better or came first).
Myan indicating if your guesses are warmer, colder, or correct.
Each Round lasts a week, with Myan winning (and gloating) if no one has guessed correctly.
Anyway, here are the very few animations I’ve done of it. Perhaps if I have the time I’ll finish it, but probably not with Cat Nine going on.
If you’re up for it, here’s how the first Round would’ve played, but I’ll only use text descriptions for the animations I haven’t finished. Ready?
And final round, sadly.
The category is a book of course. And Myan is just pretending to read here. (tip: it also had a couple of movies)
That’s two words. The first Round was supposed to be a tutorial like this. After the first Round, there would be no text on the upper left like “Number of words”.
[First Word – Number of syllables]
Myan tilting her head left and right, two times.
So that’s two syllables for the first word. In hindsight, I should’ve animated this before the one below.
Take this for example, it could represent: shaking, scared, fluffy, or something else, who knows? (tip: it’s something else)
[Second Word – Number of syllables]
Myan tilting her head left and right, two times.
Two syllables too for the second word.
[Second Word – First syllable]
Myan patting the floor with her right paws. “pat pat pat!”
Welp, that’s all of it – Time to guess using the comments below, if you want! I’ll tell you if you’re getting warmer, colder, or if you got it correct.
Thanks for the birthday gift Hothead! This is Shampoo from Ranma 1/2 by the way. Pretty much copied Myan having a hairstyle in her cat form from her in the old comics.
Sorry I know this is late, I keep forgetting to post this for some reason. Anyway…
Since everyone else except Cruz (Link’s Gerudo outfit, from Breath of the Wild) will be dressing up as Pokemon characters for this year’s Halloween, someone suggested if it’s better for him to be another Pokemon character as well. Cruz will go as Gary Oak, so it’ll fit Keith’s Ash.
I’ll leave the decision to you guys again through the poll below, then I’ll start making the wallpaper after I’ve made some progress with the next Episode’s storyboard.
Oh man, this is the best birthday gift ever, thank you my patrons! If I played football (soccer to Americans 😃), I would’ve screamed GOOOAAL and then done some hilarious celebrations. Everyone else can still join the party below until the end of December 5th 2017!
Wolf with a Blog – Reached $100 Goal on October 2017. I’ll start writing new blog posts every month, maybe tutorials about writing, drawing, comics, and stuff. Tell me if you want a specific topic! Thanks you guys!

I’m gonna be honest, I’m way behind on some of the work during the hiatus, like the long overdue secret side-project and the new patron-only wallpaper, but I suppose I’ll just have to finish them during the next Episode then!
And last but not the least, again, special thanks to my patron who’s managed to pledge a $100 lifetime total these past few months!
I post these around the 6th every month (after Patreon sends me the funds). If you were declined, your name might not show up here, but I’ll add it back after you’ve paid of course. If you’ve donated through ko-fi, only the ones who’ve donated for the previous month will show up. If I missed anyone or want to add a link to your website, please let me know!
It’s been about a month already, and I only have a few other things to do before I resume updating again this October! Thanks for being patient everyone.
Don’t mind me, just wanted to do some fan art of this awesome album I just bought. [bandcamp width=350 height=470 album=442836000 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 tracklist=false]
