29 – She Cometh

Sorry for the delay, had an on/off fever since the first week of April. After that a friend came over, so yeah. I might try making two pages this week if I can.

I guess that’s Hibi’s favorite idiom, heh indeed. Oh and beware birds and mice everywhere!

28 – Fire In The Hole!

Remember, Hibi is to a bird as Human is to a horse, maybe a cow. Cleaning doggie crap is disgusting enough. Which is one more reason I like cats better now.

So I don’t know how to draw trees properly yet. I should probably go outside and draw some, but It’s kinda hard to practice since it’s almost always hot outside over where I’m from.

Changed Hibi’s skin color too, trying to work on better backgrounds, and good thing I found a font I like better and some great comic grammar tips. If anyone has a hard time reading it, just say so.

Changed the dialogue a bit. Also I’m glad I started optimizing these past pages because I forgot about that “ehem” mark.

Hibi-hibi: You wanted to be useful to him, right?
See, I don't like birds.

Hibi-hibi: They're noisy, messy and they keep building nests in my tree!
It doesn't sound too bad...except I have to dodge droppings on a daily basis.

Hibi-hibi: Oh, and they may be tiny to you, but these droppings are bigger than my head.

I think I should have included Hibi-Hibi covering her eyes, then I just figured that she didn’t use flash…
Sorry about the delay I know I should have finished it by Monday but I was distracted by a little something called TUBERCULOSIS ON MY FREAKIN THROAT.

Removed some stuff in this rant since it’s too personal (and too long). Oh, and for anyone worrying, I’m quite fine now although I was worried it was something more serious. I just had to drink some pills that turned my pee red-orange, and then poof, by TB! Okay, now talking about the comic: I should’ve drawn the display screen of the camera.

26 – Got Ya!

I think I’m getting my focus back, which is something that eludes me lately. With focus, everything becomes enjoyable, and work gets actually done plus I get to use my 100%.
Originally, Myan bit her shirt, but after thinking about it in the thumbnail stage, catching her hair seemed more likely. Also getting used to drawing er, whoever she is. And improved my shading a little.

Okay, I know Myan looking cute in the second panel has no bearing in the story but it’s freaking adorable.
I quite enjoyed making this.

25 – Lil Miss Invisible

Panel three took forever to draw as I lack the practice with bird’s eye view, plus that pose is tricky. Foreshortening is hard work, whew. At least I know what to practice this week. In any case, I like how it turned out. Panel three’s background looked really interesting without her there.

Err, I hope that I’m not the only one who can infer that she flew away while she’s invisible. It’s kinda implied, maybe?

23 – Questioning Reality

I give Myan’s smooth landing a 9/10. 😀
I’m gonna get myself killed if I keep doing indoor backgrounds + perspective. Ergh. Maybe I shouldn’t have made the floor made out of wooden planks…

Cruz looks a little wonky and Hibi’s perspective relating to the background is, well, I feel something’s wrong. Still acceptable though.
I’ve already thought of the next vote pic, not sure it’s funny to you guys though so you’ll be the judge of that.

In hindsight, I don’t like the dialogue here that much. Here’s an alternate version though I’m not sure if it’s beetter:

  • Keith: Yep…
  • Keith: I definitely hit my head or died somewhere on the way.
  • Tammy: I’ll pinch you really hard if it helps.
  • Cruz: Ohhhhh, this dream again.
