147 – Road trip!
Hi guys, back again… and late as usual! Ahhh, I missed this, and you guys of course!
It’s my first time drawing a car and backgrounds like this, but I suppose these aren’t bad first attempts! No idea how to depict foliage properly yet though, but heck, at least I’ll have an easier time drawing them in Clip Studio compared to Flash.
Also, don’t worry about Myan’s hairstyle in this, it’s only temporary since you guys voted for the fourth one.
Wait, quick question. How old are they, because if they are already driving…
At least 16. I decided on that since here in the Philippines, that was the age people when high schoolers graduate since we were K-10 instead of K-12 (don’t know why) until recently. Right now, I’m still deciding if they’re still 16 or older than that, but that’s not important at the moment.
Well in one of your comics,it’s mentioned that they are now in college. SO technically about 19-20 yrs.
Like I mentioned before, high school finished at around 16 years because there were only 10 school grades back then.
I’ve aged them up to 18 to reflect the changes… and cause that makes it less creepy when people are lewding them I suppose.
YYYYYAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!
You are back to business baby!!
YEAh!
I happy to see that the comics is back, I started to lose hope

Hey Golb89, what anime are all these gifs from? My Google-Fu is too weak for them!
It’s Etotama
“the closer things get, the darker the color should be” – Bob Ross
you also did quite well for a first attempt, noice (also myan 10/10)
And farther away gets blue/grayer (lol this was autocorrected to gayer).
Thank you! Myan is at least 9/10 😀
1: Myan is Adorable like this, kinda 50’s ish, but cute as always haha.
2: you did a pretty great job for a first attempt!
3: one trick is to use “detail layers” aka the closest row of hills would show maybe even some flowers on the other layers, the next only shows the bushes and trees, after that just trees, then just kinda treeish blurs, then just like you did now.
4: another trick is to use irregular templates and use a transparent spray type function or something with scaled dappling to mimic leaves’s slight changes in gradient or hue.
5: a slight trick for movement is to blur the falling behind edge of things, do it more closer to the image and less in the distance and you can get a bit of a paralax effect.
6: glad to hear you are back alive and well.
7: a slight blur on the wheels to make them seem to be spinning would help too (blur both the dark and the light areas over each other a tad in the opposite of the spin direction.
8: im not sure if you have ever tried the program GIMP, but it might help you test out/prep parts before you make the main image such as transparencies, stencils, quick mockups, scaling, and so forth, i use it a lot, and even when i use other programs i often keep it up for testing out various edits to an image.
Yes she is, and I wanted to see her with a short hairstyle now and then.
Thanks, and thanks for the advice. Yeah, I was thinking of that as well (plus I have a reference pic), but I dunno, just wanted to try it out this way for now. Maybe I will use sprays next time! And I am aware of the slight hue changes, but well, it’s very green here in the Philippines (and in the ref pic too).
I was going for a “high speed” camera shot, plus I don’t wanna abuse the blur tool too much just because something is moving.
Woah, it’s pretty o3o
Y-you too
